Tim Streatfeild-James - Chairman
Mr. Streatfeild-James worked for the Barclays group for nearly 27 years and he currently runs his own financial and management consultancy business specialising in strategic planning and administration in the financial and legal sectors. Prior to leaving the Bank, he was Managing Director of Barclays in Gibraltar for three years. During his tenure he not only revitalised the bank – significantly improving service and profitability in the process – but he also introduced a range of 21st century methods and processes to the operations. Qualifying at the City of London University, he has gained wide international corporate banking experience, working in London, the Far East, Central and Southern Africa and the Cayman Islands.
James Trusselle - Managing Director
James started his career as a Lloyd’s broker before becoming a specialist property underwriter with the Sturge Group at Lloyd’s. During this time James held various Lloyd’s and London Market Committee positions including the Lloyd’s French Management Committee, Middle East, Eastern Bloc and Terrorism sub-committees, of which he was Chairman. James is a co-founder of Lemma Europe Insurance Company Ltd, London. James is controller, director, and responsible for business production development.
David Brown F.C.C.A. - Finance Director
David qualified as an accountant in 1972 and has spent all his career within the international insurance and reinsurance industry. During this time, he has held a number of successful senior positions and directorships including most recently that of Group Finance Director and Company Secretary of a major international life and health reinsurance group. David joined Asset Underwriting Ltd in London in 2004 as its Financial Controller. At Lemma Europe, David performs the role of Finance Manager and is responsible for all financial, accounting and investment aspects of the company’s business.
Alexander(Sandy) C. Guthrie - Operation Director
Sandy has over 40 years length and breadth of experience in the insurance industry as an underwriter, manager and broker in both the UK and Canada. He holds an Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute. Most recently he served as Operations Manager then Chief Executive and Director of Norwich Union International Insurance Limited in Gibraltar (now Argus Insurance Group), a general insurance company.
Oliver Moss - General Manager
Oliver started his insurance career in the London market with a specialist contingency and prize indemnity underwriting agency. He joined Lemma Europe as Deputy Underwriter at the beginning of 2009 where he has been an integral part in the expansion of the Gibraltar office.
Kavita Daswani - Management Accountant
Kavita is a Member of the Chartered Management Institute and she is also a Member of The Association of Accounting Technicians. Her career originally started in the Civil Service. Later she moved to employment in the private sector and was employed as General Manager of a retail business for over six years. Her role as general manager involved all the aspects of the day to day running of a business. Kavita then moved on to working as an Account Manager for almost six years in an insurance management company during which period she qualified as an Accounting Technician. It was there that Kavita worked on the Lemma Europe accounts, gaining knowledge on insurance accounting. Kavita was employed by Lemma Europe in 2010 as management accountant.
Caroline Wilberforce - Office Administrator
Caroline is an accounting technician with 10 years experience of office management and accounts in the private sector and 12 years office and administration systems management in the public sector.
Michelle Vennard - Company Administration
Michelle has five years previous experience working for a large life insurer and one year’s experience within the Pensions sector. Both roles involved providing underwriting support and administration. Michelle was employed by Lemma Europe in 2010 as underwriting support, where she continues to progress towards her Diploma in Insurance.
